For my final show in Germany, I made a joke between songs about promising them some German music, then realized I didn't know any. So I improvised about eight bars or so of an ill-advised impromptu acoustic guitar mash-up of Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" on the top strings and "Ninety-Nine Red Balloons" on the bottom strings. The fact that this actually almost worked is a testament to the awesome power of German wine. However, I am not expecting to make it out of the country without some German coming up to me and saying, "Never do that again. Ever."
